Desilicious Café on Queens Road brings a focused slice of South Asian comfort to Nuneaton, serving up quick bites that lean on authentic flavors without pretense. This café suits those who want a casual and convenient spot for lunch or an early evening snack, particularly if you’re craving familiar desi snacks and simple mains that don’t stray far from home-style recipes.

Inside, the atmosphere is straightforward with a friendly vibe — customers often comment on the approachable and welcoming staff, which makes it a nice place to pop into alone or with friends when hunger strikes. Seating is modest but practical, geared mostly for a quick sit-down or takeaway. It’s the kind of place you’ll find locals dropping by midday or just after work, looking for filling, affordable plates without fuss.

The menu offers a good spread of traditional snacks like samosas, pakoras, and pani puri alongside mains such as Hyderabadi chicken biryani and dal makhani with rice. Portion sizes tend to satisfy, and pricing remains reasonable for the area, making it a viable option for a weekday lunch or casual dinner. While the café doesn’t focus on beverages beyond a short list of cold drinks including the intriguing Dubai Pista Drink, their food carries the real draw.

If you tend towards vegetarian options, you’ll find some dishes — like various types of paranthas and vegetarian chaats — have surprisingly authentic flavors, sometimes exceeding expectations for a small local café. For meat-eaters, the biryani is a crowd-pleaser, though some have noted the chicken cuts lean towards drumsticks rather than a variety. Desserts and sweet treats are also part of the offering, complementing the savory items well.

Overall, Desilicious Café fits neatly into the local landscape as a handy spot for those who appreciate genuine South Asian snacks and meals without the formality of a full restaurant. It’s best for anyone after something tasty and familiar, whether you’re grabbing a quick bite on your lunch break or treating yourself to a casual evening meal. The steady flow of locals suggests it’s settling in as a regular stop for people in the neighborhood, especially those who enjoy relaxed dining with a distinctly desi flavor profile.

This place is just amazing. I bought some sweets, hot chocolate, samosa chaat and biryani and all the dishes blew me away. I also had this vegetarian "sambar" dish; while I'm not too keen on vegetarian dishes I'm pleased to say that this blew away my expectations. Prices aren't too bad either, a tenner can pretty much get you a starter, a main and a drink. The staff here are also so friendly and my whole experience with this place was extremely positive. Would definitely recommend.

Newly opened and had to try it out living over the road. Samosas we're beautiful along with the Paneer Spring Rolls, but the star of the show was something the guys recommended to me and I can't recall the name but it contained batter loads of vegetables drizzled with a tasty Indian style soup.. so tasty will be a regular lunch spot for me.

Ordered biryani’ for Eid which was very reasonably priced per portion the biryani was lovely and full of flavour as was the sweetened carrot desert. Our one gripe was the chicken used seemed to only consist of chicken drumstick would be nice to get some thigh or breast meat! Would definitely recommend as customer service is excellent.

The samosas were delicious and good portion. We also had faludas and they were very tasty. Didn’t get a good photo of the samosas as we ate them quickly.

Desillicious Café, I recently visited Desillicious Café, and it was an incredible experience! The food was absolutely delicious, with rich, authentic flavours that truly hit the spot. The sweets were exceptional—fresh, decadent, and simply outstanding. The café’s atmosphere was vibrant and welcoming, making it a perfect place to relax and enjoy a meal. One unique feature of Desillicious Café is that you can have your food freshly cooked right in front of you if you order on-site. It adds a personal and engaging touch to the dining experience! Alternatively, their menu offers a variety of quick, mouthwatering options. Parking is also very convenient—you can park just across the road, which is great if you’re planning a stop at Lidl too. I highly recommend Desillicious Café for its outstanding food, incredible sweets, and pleasant atmosphere. It’s a must-visit spot for anyone craving authentic Indian flavours with a modern twist! Great food experience. Happy customer Thank-you Mr and Mrs Murphy
